Communication Skills on Fiverr:
What if you could learn the skills required to communicate with a difficult client and go about your day without feeling like you want to go all Rambo on your computer?
Some few years ago, I was in such kind of situation after buying a new keyboard. I thought to myself personally: maybe it’s my communication skill that demands some work. So, I start considering the skills I needed to allow my keyboard and other peripherals to survive these
Here’s what I’ve learned so far – and how I enforce these skills in my daily contact with demanding clients.
It all starts with communication:
Handling demanding clients, in general, can be a challenge. If you master some necessary communication skills, you can handle even the most challenging client with ease – and a smile. Since we can’t just wish the difficult client away, turning the situation looks like the best option we have.
So, all start by listening carefully to what the client has to say. When the buyer rants off, stay professional and calm. Maybe the client has a point? If you listen with full attention and show your buyer that your goal is to solve the problem, you are telling that you’re professional and value your clients.
Always restate their issue:
It is something I always do when I must deal with a difficult buyer. By restating their concerns in a smooth way. This shows the buyer that I have understood their issue and that I’m taking the problem seriously.
Apologize, even if it’s not your fault:
It might be the most challenging part by saying, “I’m sorry” to a client who just emptied their total frustration in your chat when it’s not even your guilt. Even if their grievance isn’t valid, say, “I’m sorry that you feel that way” or “I’m sorry to hear that”.If you’re in the correct, you can still apologize for the mistake, and then offer a solution.
Don’t fight with the buyer:
Anything you do, but don’t fight with your client. Be professional about it, and always try to talk to the client by giving a solution and using the skills that you’ve learned to work things out. Always try to tone down the buyers’ rage rather than making it wrong by responding in kind
Always treat the client on Fiverr with dignity and ask them politely if they can explain to you how they would like the outcome to be.
